Toe River Arts will host an online Benefit Auction July 17-19 to raise money to replace income lost during the COVID-19 pandemic. A catalog of the pieces for auction can be found at toeriverarts.org/auction. If you don't want to bid but still want to help, please consider supporting our Call to Action to fund our education programming.

Artist Support Grants Artists in all disciplines living in Avery, Madison, Mitchell and Yancey Counties are eligible to apply for grants to support their professional and artistic development, made possible through a partnership of the North Carolina Arts Council, Toe River Arts, and Madison County Arts Council. Toe River Arts | 2020 Online Benefit Auction

Although we are unable to gather in person, We are gathering together online to celebrate art and to raise funds lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Toe River Arts has been an integral part of our community since 1976. This last year, we have undergone tremendous changes and are excited about many new projects.

Bidding begins July 17 at 8 AM and ends July 19 at 8:30 PM. Get ready for auction weekend! Browse items up for auction in our catalog, and get ahead by making your account on our website. Instructions can be found at the beginning of the catalog.

Artist Opportunities

Large-Scale Woodblock Printmaking Workshop with BIG INK

Toe River Arts invites artists, high school seniors or recent high school graduates to apply to participate in this workshop. Participants will collaborate to carve woodblocks to be printed on BIG INK's "The Big Tuna," their large-scale, traveling printing press. No previous knowledge of woodblock printing is necessary to participate. The deadline to apply has been extended to July 15. Visit our website for more information.

Artist Support Grants 
Emerging or established artists are encouraged to apply to support a range of professional and artistic development including the creation of work, improvement of business operations, or expanding capacity to bring work to new audiences.
