YANCEY COUNTY LIFTS RECOMMENDED SUSPENSION OF SHORT-TERM RENTALS
Effective as of 12 May 2020 the Yancey County Board of County Commissioners has lifted its recommended prohibition of short-term rentals in Yancey County. Lodging establishments and property owners engaging in the business of short-term rentals are expected to comply with all state mandates regarding business operations and are encouraged to follow all cleaning and sanitizing guidelines established to guard against the spread of COVID-19. State business regulations and guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing rentals and accommodations may be obtained from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services via their website www.ncdhhs.gov.
