CMLIT FESTIVAL WINNER

The Carolina Mountains Literary Festival is pleased to announce the winner of the Art Contest—“Ginseng Rising” by Burnsville artist Rhea Ormond to represent this year’s theme—SURFACE AND RISE.

   Ginseng is native to this area, grows and struggles beneath the soil, and when brought to the surface, is medicinal and healing. On Sept 6-8, authors will read and discuss their books that reflect this struggle.

  Painting will be part of the silent art auction.
