BLT Classic Movie Club to Screen "The Best Years of Our Lives"
The Burnsville Little Theatre's Classic Movie Club will pay tribute to Veteran's Day by showing the 1946 classic film “The Best Years Of Our Lives”. This enduring classic remains perhaps the best film ever made about the hardships endured by soldiers returning home from war. winner of seven Academy Awards including best picture, best actor, Fredric March, Director William Wyler and supporting actor Harold Russell a non-actor but a real WW-II Veteran. The cast includes Fredrick March, Myrna Loy, Dana Andrews, Teresa Wright, Virginia Mayo and Harold Russell. “ The Best Years Of Our Lives” is a memorable film about the aftermath of WW-II and the homecoming of three veterans to the same small town and their coming to grips with their new lives after the war. This seventy year old film is a masterpiece, the combination of genuinely felt emotions and the microcosm of America recovering from war.
