Chasing Spring
It's January -- the heart of winter -- but my thoughts are on spring. Last year's Chasing Spring weekend was a hit; this year we've reserved two weekends at the cozy and charming Celo Inn. April 24-26 (2 days & 2 nights) coincides with the peak of the great Appalachian spring wildflower bloom. May 22-25 (3 days & 3 nights) is the heart of blue ghost firefly season. We'll follow migrating warblers through the matrix of plant communities that make the Blue Ridge special. We'll chase this magical season past waterfalls, through the finest Appalachian cove forests, and to WNC's own cloud forest. Find details here, and call or email for registration information.
